1. Who we are

Coin Sage is a cryptocurrency portfolio management app developed and operated by Abner Ribeiro ("we", "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD — Law No. 13.709/2018).

2. Data we collect

We only collect data necessary for the app to function:

  • Account data: email address and display name, provided at registration via email/password or Google Sign-In.
  • Profile picture: image voluntarily uploaded by the user. Stored on a secure server and used exclusively for display in the app.
  • Portfolio data: cryptocurrencies added, quantities, average purchase price, and transaction history. This data is entered manually by the user.
  • Usage data: crash and error information (via Firebase Crashlytics), for diagnostic and improvement purposes.
  • Notification token: device identifier for sending price alerts configured by the user.
  • Subscription data: plan status (FREE or PRO), managed by RevenueCat. We do not store credit card data.

3. How we use your data

  • Authenticate your account and keep your session active securely.
  • Display and calculate your cryptocurrency portfolio value.
  • Send price alerts and notifications you have configured.
  • Calculate capital gains and generate tax reports (PRO users).
  • Identify and fix app crashes (crash data).
  • Display personalized native ads for FREE plan users (via Google AdMob).
  • Process and validate PRO plan subscriptions (via RevenueCat).

We do not use your data for our own advertising purposes, do not sell your data to third parties, and do not share portfolio information with any company.

Coin Sage uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:

5. Storage and security

  • Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Railway (USA) and MongoDB Atlas (USA).
  • The authentication token is stored exclusively in your device's Keychain (iOS) or Keystore (Android), never in plain text.
  • Communication between the app and servers occurs exclusively via HTTPS with TLS.
  • Password data is never stored — authentication is delegated to Firebase Authentication.

6. Data retention

Your data is retained while your account is active. Upon requesting account deletion, all personal and portfolio data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Anonymized crash data may be retained for up to 90 days for diagnostic purposes.

7. Your rights

Under applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: know what data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data.
  • Erasure: request deletion of data processed based on consent.
  • Portability: receive your data in a structured format.
  • Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent at any time.
  • Objection: object to processing carried out in non-compliance with the law.

8. Cookies and tracking

The mobile app does not use cookies. This landing page may use anonymous traffic analysis cookies (Vercel Analytics) without personal identification.

9. Minors

Coin Sage is not intended for persons under 18 years of age. We do not intentionally collect data from minors. If you identify that a minor has provided data, contact us so we can remove it immediately.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
